Abaniko Tres Puntas

Master Angelo has been training in the martial arts for over 39 years , starting with boxing and judo at age eight ,with a  very strong traditional back ground in Shotokan karate (34 years) graded by Master Enoeda,  Classical Arnis with his instructor GM Rene Tongson of the Philippines . Master Angelo has studied many arts including Kyusho-jitsu (pressure points), Aikido,  Italian knife, Ju-jitsu , Kung fu, Thai Boxing ,  but it’s the principles contained in these arts and how they relate to each other that  is the most important thing it’s not enough to collect lots of techniques (baggage) , when you understand the principles you can do and make as many techniques work as you want.

What has been learnt in 39 years is you still have alot to learn and as the great man (Bruce Lee)  says what level of imperfection do you want to settle for.

Master Angelo Baldissone 7th Dan is the originator of the Filipino Kyusho Systems it has been born out of over 39 years of dedicated study in the fighting arts, even today still practicing hours a day everyday, Studying under many Grand masters across the globe to find a unique blend that can transcend the arts and apply the concepts and principles contained within them.

It is a combination of the principles of Classical Arnis, Kyusho jitsu (pressure point fighting), Shotokan Karate , Aikido and Italian Knife combat, and some of the teaching ways and methods employed over the last 39 years.

Grandmaster Rene R. Tongson took his first lesson at the age of nine (9) in Hinigaran, Negros Occidental - the hometown of Professor Remy A. Presas, using sugar canes instead of a rattan stick which was scarce then. His Modern Arnis training started at the age of 15 with Grandmaster Roberto Presas. From Grandmaster Mateo D. Estolloso of Antique, Panay Island, he refined his classical techniques such as Banda-y-Banda, Rompida, Doblada, Hirada Batangueña, Espada-y-Daga, Palis-palis and many more. Under Grandmaster Ernesto, he mastered the techniques of Filipino weaponry.
Grandmaster Rene R. Tongson, is one of the two most senior Masters of the International Modern Arnis Federation - Philippines (IMAFP) under the Professor Remy Presas Clan. He is also a member of the Council of Masters of Modern Arnis, and co-founder-convenor of WORLD BROTHERHOOD of MODERN ARNIS (WBMA).
Using his high academic and administrative experience, he spearheaded the organization of Arnis Philippines (ARPI) as its 1st Secretary-General in September 1986 under the Philippines Olympic Committee (POC). In 1988 he drafted and authored the original version of the Philippine National Standard for the conduct and practice of Arnis in competitive sport, the standard rules now being used in Arnis Tournaments worldwide. He has traveled worldwide were he has strong followings in Australia, Europe, USA and one of the most respected masters in the Philippines. Grandmaster Tongson is known for his unique ABANIKO TRES PUNTAS style and form in classical Arnis. Among his top students are GM Master Bambit Dulay, GM Master Dieter Knuttel (Germany) . Master Angelo Baldissone , Master Nino Pila and Chris Traish (Australia) and leading Arnis gurus in the Philippines and worldwide.
