Training

 The club teaches all ages from 6-60 male or female and especially
 welcomes family members who can train at the same time.

 We are in a position to offer several different types of training which
 are listed below. We hold and participate in martial arts seminars
 enabling the club to offer different styles with guest Sensei's from
 different fields of Martial Arts and self defence.
 


 
To make steady progress you will need to train twice a week. We begin each lesson with basic warm up and stretching exercises. The lessons  cover areas such basic strikes, blocks, kicks, self defence applications, kata, and bunkai.

The basic Shotokan moves and katas all have real applications, the physical  application of which is known as Bunkai. Many of the techniques are found in other martial art forms. Karate Jitsu brings together strikes, kicks, joint locks, throws and kyusho (pressure/nerve point) attacks.

 

    We can be found at the newtown labour club in  scot lane (not opp aldi half way up scot lane) on a Wednesday night between 7.30pm and 8.30pm.

We also train at Robin Park Arena opp DW Stadium Wigan on a Friday night between 7pm and 8pm.

Abaniko tres puntas stickwork is available at Newtown labour club on a Sunday from 12-1pm
